North East Texas is rich in history, and in 2016 the City of Jefferson, Texas and its historical society needed this Civil War era Magazine, also known as a Powder House relocated. Constructed on the shore of the Big Cypress River, where paddle boats once traveled, the Magazine was in jeopardy of collapse as the river erodes the banks. OHM, Oney House Moving, was able to secure and relocate this historic structure approximately 100 feet from its original location completely intact.
